Built in 1932-1934, this Art Deco-style building was designed by Marr and Holman to serve as a United States Post Office for the city of Nashville. The building is clad in marble with a gray granite base, metal-frame windows, metal spandrels, decorative reliefs, gray granite trim surrounds at the main entrance bays, fluted pilasters, a terrace with a gray granite railing in front of the building, and a rear podium with a rooftop terrace. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. Today, the building houses the Frist Art Museum, which opened in 2001.
