Built in 1908, this Beaux Arts-style building was designed by J. Edwin Carpenter to serve as the Hermitage Hotel, a grand hotel named for the estate of former US President Andrew Jackson. The building is clad in buff brick with terra cotta trim, two-over-two double-hung windows, arched bays on the second floor, engaged ionic columns, decorative reliefs, cornices with dentils, balconies at the fourth floor, and a rusticated first floor facade with large bays. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2020. Today, the building remains in use as a hotel.
